Soccer tryouts will begin Monday, January 13th and will conclude Thursday, January 16th. Tryouts will start at 3:00 each day and be finished around 5:00.
In order for a student athlete to tryout for soccer, he/she MUST be academically eligible, have a current physical on file with the school and turn in the insurance/ parent waiver form and a signed signature page form the soccer handbook. Students can get these forms from the front office at their school or any soccer coach at their school. Students will not be allowed to participate until all the required documents are on file.
Due to the risk of injury in any sport, all athletes are required to have medical insurance. The school offers supplemental. low cost accident/ medical insurance that meets this requirement. Click here to get a quote/ purchase the supplemental insurance.
High school students will have an informational meeting on Wednesday, January 8th in the cafeteria during Trojan Block.
Middle school students wanting to tryout for soccer need to see Coach Ellerbee during lunch on Wednesday, January 8 to sign up.
Each athlete needs to bring the following equipment to tryouts:
- cleats and tennis shoes
- shin guards
- weather appropriate clothing (be prepared for unpredictable January weather)
- water bottle
- size 5 soccer ball
- keeper gloves (if applicable)
The soccer program uses remind messages to communicate any updates, schedule changes, etc. If you would like to receive the high school team remind messages, text the message @2015trojan to the number 81010. If you would like to receive the messages for the middle school teams text the message @mssoccer19 to the number 81010. To stop receiving remind messages for a group, simply text STOP plus the group code message listed above to 81010.
